What’s Mom Up To?
Mom and Dad made the move and settled into a 55+ community. They are preparing to take on a new chapter. So what do they do all day? At Noble’s Pond our enthusiasm for life shatters all bleak stereotypes of life after retirement. What are Mom and Dad up to at Noble’s Pond? You had to ask! Prepare to be slightly jealous.
It’s the first Friday of the month and Mom is getting ready for a garden club meeting. On the Ladybug’s agenda this month is scheduling a local garden tour and making plans for patio pots to place around the pool, walkways and welcome center.
Mom and Dad love to do things together like their evening walks meandering around ponds through the community. But sometimes they enjoy their own fun. Next week, Mom has a Ladies Tea Social at the Clubhouse, while that evening Dad will be happy to hang out with the guys for a Billiards Night.
Continuing education is important for Mom, so she plans to attend a Holistic & Wellness Class on Allergies hosted at the new fitness center. Since the flowers are in full bloom and Mom is enjoying time in her garden, now is a great time to learn holistic approaches to combating allergies.
Later this month, Mom and Dad plan to attend the 36th Annual Spring Sidewalk Sale at Rehoboth Beach. Here, they will hunt for fabulous beach finds at discount prices. Rehoboth is just an hour away and makes for a lovely day trip. Plus, you can’t beat the tax free-shopping that Delaware offers!
Mom and Dad are also looking forward to an upcoming trip planned by our Lifestyle Director to the Pigeon Forge in the Great Smoky Mountains. Day trips and world travel are just some of the adventurous opportunities to seize at Noble’s Pond! Outings have included European River Cruises, African safaris, Alaskan excursions, local expos, festivals, and baseball games.
Because giving back is a big part of the Noble’s Pond philosophy, Mom and Dad both find ways to volunteer time to causes near and dear to their heart. Last month, there was the annual fundraising walk for MS and each December, Mom and Dad look forward to collecting Toys for Tots. Dad served in the Marines and appreciates Noble’s Pond’s commitment to recognizing military service and efforts.
What’s Mom up to? If you call or text her to check in, she might not get back to you right away. Her activity calendar is pretty full and it was leg day at the gym.
Life looks greener on this side of the Pond!
